Edwurd Fudwupper Fibbed Big by Berkley Breathed

Camara reccomends Edwurd Fudwupper Fibbed Big: Berkley Breathed is the creator of the comic strip, “Bloom Country. This is one of his many children’s picture books. Edwurd Fubwupper has a knack for telling outrageous lies, but one day his lies catch up to him. Who will save Edwurd from the giant, three-eyed alien?.” The expressions on the characters’ faces will have everyone laughing aloud. It is sure to be a hit for kids and kids at heart.

Pigs to the Rescue by John Himmelman

Camara recommends Pigs to the Rescue: Whenever things go wrong on the Greenstalk farm, the pigs are there to the rescue. But their missions of mercy only turn minor disasters into major ones with hysterical results as they leave comical destruction in the wake of their “helpfulness.”. At the end of the book, there is a hint about who’s going to be in the next book. This book is great for preschoolers.

Toddler Storytime for Frogs! With Fingerplays, Books, and Songs

Hello!  This week's Storytime involved frogs!  There is still quite a bit of snow left in Maine, but soon it will be time for tadpoles.

For Storytime, we listened to books by a few of my favorite authors, Karma Wilson and Ellen Stoll Walsh.  The frog songs were especially fun.  All week, I found myself humming "Five Green and Speckled Frogs."

Storytime for Night with books, fingerplays, and rhymes

Hello again!  This week's theme was "night."  We sang some songs and read books about sleeping and saying good night.  We also listened to some famous books!  Goodnight Moon is a classic and The House in the Night won the Caldecott Medal in 2009.
