This is a beautiful and humorous retelling of Aesop's The Boy Who
set in China. The wolf is old and crafty. When the boy cries wolf too many times, the wolf offers to take one of the goats as proof. Even though the old wolf plans on eating the goat, he has a change of heart, and the goat becomes his friend.
I loved the description of the wolf and how he complains about his aches and pains. This book is great for ages 5 and up.
